Love and three stitches,
grumpypants
PS: Did I mention that I cut myself in the dumbest way possible? The knife slipped a little and there went my knuckle. I was mortified.
PPS: Did I also mention that novocaine doesn't do very much for me in mere-mortal sized doses, so I felt every stitch?
PPPS: Didn't the Mister do a lovely job rebandaging me? Such a doctor I have!
PPPPS: I feel I have thus proven that (a) acorn squash are wiley adversaries and should not be laughed off, (b) that I am not a particularly wiley adversary and should absolutely be laughed at, (c) that my Mister has many talents and has a promising future in playing doctor, and (d) that I am tough as nails for being stitched and not crying whilst the needle poked and prodded. Grrrrrrrr . . . . . ;)

Wow, last night I made myself a dandy of an acorn squash. As I was cutting it in half, I thought "wow, this would be really easy to slip and do some damage to myself". Of course I did another shot of bourbon and continued cooking. Hope you feel better soon.
