Our Travels to Foreign Lands, Part 1

I'm in the process of writing a What We Did On Our Vacation post, complete with copious photos, to be posted sometime soon. (Well, maybe soon. We live in hope.) But let's start off by saying this:

Going to Costa Rica was perhaps one of the best vacations I have been on!! Ever! (If you haven't been, you must go! The country is beautiful, and the people are amazing.) We woke up seeing the sunrise over the mountains, saw tons of amazing wildlife (a troop of monkeys frolicked around our house for about an hour one afternoon), drank loads of Imperials - a delicious Costa Rican beer - and ate amazing seafood that had been swimming just hours before we ate it. We practiced our Spanish, went hiking in rainforests, and lounged on the beach. We never wanted to come home. (We did, however, wish that my sister's boyfriend would go home after awhile, but that's a story for another post.)

But come home we did, sans our luggage sadly (No presents yet, kittens! They're still on vacation in Miami we think.), and have had a nice day, playing on our computers and snuggling with the dog.

(Us, on the beach at Manuel Antonio national park, happy and exhausted from seeing so many sloths.)

Love and all the relaxation you can handle,
grumpypants

Maybe, just maybe this is where I will go. But my husband wants to go to Europe. Ugh. Well actually it won't be that bad....

I'm so glad your vacation went well. I bet your dog was glad to see you when you got home though. Anxiously waiting for more pictures,so I can vacation vicariously though you of course.
