Well, really it's a crisp I suppose, but who's counting? These nuggets of yummyyummyyummy goodness - and oh yes they are GOOD! - came from Cardiff via our lovely Neighbor Stacey, and they are the perfect blend of salty and hammy and crunchy, and it is very fortunate for my girlish figure that they are not available in the States for oh I would eat them nightly. (Having said that, dearest Our Man in Wales, should another packet turn up in your suitcase, we would not complain!)
Love and hammy hammy salty treats,
grumpypants
PS: In other pork-related news: Apparently, many years ago, Denny's used to have a breakfast dish called "Moons Over My Hammy" that involved sunny-side up eggs and grilled ham and breakfast potatoes or very tall stack of pancakes or something like that, and I think that this is perhaps the nicest, cheeriest name for a breakfast dish and I like it very, very much. I think that it might also make a nice, albeit more than a little quirky, name for a some sort of obscure pet, like a pot-bellied pig or a ferret or something, it's long name could be "Moons Over My Hammy" and you could call it "Moons" or perhaps "Hammy" for short.
(Your response: Mm, yes. Quite. Check please?)

Well, if a packet or two accidentally find their way over the pond I wouldn't be too surprised.

oh my gosh! i totally used to love moons over my hammy! dennys made a really cute little card for it (you know, the triangles on the table) with the perfect looking food on the plate with the miami night skyline behind it.
*sigh* why am i a vegetarian again?

Last time I was at a denny's, they still had Moons over my Hammy. Do they not have it anymore? Hmmm. I guess it's been awhile...
You know what we need now? Ham flavored popsicles for the summer.
Love and pork!

I think we need a roadtrip to the nearest Denny's to Investigate.

HEY LADY! Could I sweet talk you into posting or emailing those brownie or pastry recipes? Jackson has been talking NON STOP about wanting to try them ever since we left. We're having a barbeque this weekend and I'm hoping to shut him up! Puuuhhleeeeease?

I was at a denny's not one year ago and ordered the moons over my hammy. I think. Did I hallucinate the whole thing? Either way a denny's road trip is always worth it.

adrianne!!!!
yes and yes and also yes!!!!! shall i send jackson a packet of ham-themed chips to thank him for his patience? (and a bottle of wine for you for putting up with all of the talking about the brownies and the strawberries and the whatnot?)

ps: a few night ago, i told michael that he had to kiss me on the roof of our building during a rather nice sunset because "IT"S FUCKING ROMANTIC, PUNK!" and i thought of you and jackson and the brooklyn bridge. . .
pps: have you seen meine lehderhosen? they seem to have scampered off . . . .

The LAST thing we need is ham flavoured chips as Jackson is rather enamoured with anything pork related (you saw the stars in his eyes when you mentioned bacon). I'm very jealous you have a rooftop deck. It's so New-York-Cool. And if you're looking for your lederhosen they're on my bedroom dresser. Right beside this windup cockroach some freaks from New York gave me...

Moons Over My Hammy ios served here in Canada at Denny's, it's tons and tons of thinly shaved ham, scrambled eggs, MOUNDS of swiss and cheddar chees, and on a toasted sourdough. I love it. It's the perfect combination of grease and grease.

OMG! I would have never believed it without seeing it.
