Dear Self,
Let it be noted that this whole awaking-at-the-ass-crack-of-dawn does not appear to be getting easier. Waking up at 4:30? For the birds, I tell ya. I mean yes, yes, we love what we do, but this wake-up time? Okay so it's not 3 am or an overnight shift, but still.
Let it also be noted that a little mascara does make nearly closed eyes look all dewey and awake. A little blush further gives the illusion that the previous night's sleep has been long and satisfying.

well, you always look awake and fabulous when I rather groggily stumble in at 9. I feel like I should apologize for being brusque when I see you at work. I hope you understand that I am thrilled to see you, but it's still the ass-crack of dawn to me, and I usually have a bus to catch. by the way, the scone this morning was delicious.

I can barely get my ass to the office by 9:30. I can't even imagine being out of bed at 4:30. Holy crap woman.

umm, going back to your tattoo..why dont you have your friend draw the image on you, wear it around for a while and see how it feels. i did that with henna.

...and I meant to tell you, when I saw you, that that tattoo was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. You should TOTALLY get that.
